![]() ![]() It is good against aggro as it trades early. Prowler is also playable in midrange decks however. Green aggro has a quantity problem in large cubes – simply not enough strong creatures for any sort of curve are available. This is better than most one drops in other colors too. Green got an aggressive one drop far better than everything it had before, which was basically Jungle Lion and Mtenda Lion. Kessig Prowler – playable to staple, depending on support of green aggro Previous parts of this review talked about the new mechanics as well as the colors white, blue, black and red. Top 20 cards for large cubes from Eldritch Moon Nothing big, but the pendulum swung towards the slower side. That said, they have uses outside of aggro decks and are Thalia is best against opposing aggro decks still. Aggro’s great gain is in its pair of two drops, the actual two best cards of the set. Collective Defiance is better in control, and so is Docent of Perfection. Liliana, the Last Hope is very strong anti-aggro measure. Imprisoned in the Moon as the best spell is a good start. This time I think it is control that is the biggest gainer. With recent sets it was more often aggro getting the nod. It is a fine balance and after a few sets in a row in one direction, some corrections might need to be done. Whenever a new set comes out, I like to see whether it pushes the cube more towards control or aggro. The most interesting cards seem to be Emrakul and Liliana, the Last Hope featuring no close designs to them yet. The transform cards themselves are simpler and easier to solved. It was rather scattered all around the curve and colors. This set doesn’t introduce new archetypes or render old fringe ones playable. We did however got a highly unique and sought after card we did not think we would ever see in Imprisoned in the Moon. We got no good discard outlets which sadden me deeply. We got another white two and three drops, another red three drop, another colorless eldrazi. We didn’t get a lot of hole filling besides arguably the green one drop. Overall we are looking at one of the better, most interesting sets so far. (Previous parts of this review dealt with the new mechanics as well as all the colors: white, blue, black, red, green, multicolored and colorless)
